Reference: immocloud - property management via app

The startup immocloud has teamed up with us to offer property owners an efficient property management app that complements the existing software-as-a-service browser solution.

The assignment

The mission of the development was to translate the immocloud user experience of the web-based solution into a user-friendly mobile app thus making it more accessible for users. The aim was to create an intuitive companion app that makes property management not only easy but also fun.

Our process

The project started with joint workshops at our agency, where we defined and narrowed down the scope of the project together. On this basis, our design team created a brand new design that fits into immocloud's existing visual identity. This design not only gives the app a modern touch, but also ensures compliance with accessibility standards. In parallel, a design system was created to maintain consistency and ensure the future scalability of the app.

Once the UX and UI design was finalised and approved, we moved into the development phase. As with many of our mobile app projects, we used the popular development framework React Native, which allowed us to release a first reduced version (MVP) of the companion app in the app stores as early as late 2022.

In the course of the development, we relied on short development sprints in which we could regularly deliver interim results to our customer in order to receive feedback as early as possible.

Features overview

Dashboard

Financial data is presented on a dashboard in a clear and easy-to-understand manner, perfect for quick access while on the go. Filters and time periods can be selected for more detailed analysis.

Documents

Contract documents and other documents can be managed and made available in the app. The documents can be opened and distributed via other smartphone programmes.

Finances

The app is the ideal complement to the web platform and covers specific mobile use cases such as access to messages on the move, push notifications and a quick overview of financial and contact data.

Social Sign-In

To make the registration process as seamless as possible, users can register with Immocloud via their Google, Apple or Linkedin account.

Message system

Landlords can use the app to send messages to all tenants in a building or communicate with specific tenants individually.

Rental income management

Thanks to synchronisation with a bank account, the current payment status can be viewed so that landlords always have an overview of paid and due rents.

Next steps

After the first release, further features were gradually added, so that the companion app was gradually expanded into a full service. In addition, important user feedback was collected and incorporated into the further development. We look forward to making property management even easier in the future with immocloud!
