Hybrid Heroes Task Scam Alert: Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Job Offers

Unfortunately, we have recently learned that scammers are currently misrepresenting Hybrid Heroes in fraudulent job offers designed to swindle people out of their money. These scams involve fake job postings, requiring upfront fees or sensitive personal information, under the pretense of securing employment.

Hybrid Heroes would never ask job candidates to pay fees or contact them outside of our official channels. Here’s what you need to know to protect yourself:

Hybrid Heroes is a well-regarded provider of digital solutions from Berlin, specializing in app and web development. Unfortunately, our reputation has been exploited by scammers looking to profit from unsuspecting job seekers.

The scam came to light when individuals reached out to our team, inquiring about job offers they had received. Thanks to these individuals, we were able to investigate the issue and issue a public warning.

How the Hybrid Heroes Task Scam Works

We don't know the exact procedure for sure, but here's some allocated information we got from potential victims:

1. Scammers reach out through messaging platforms like WhatsApp or Telegram, claiming to represent Hybrid Heroes. They use fake profiles with our logo to appear legitimate.
2. The scammers describe roles with appealing salaries and benefits, such as remote work and flexible hours.
3. Victims are directed to fraudulent websites mimicking professional job portals, where they’re asked to submit personal information or pay fees for “account activation” or “salary processing.”
4. As the scam progresses, scammers may ask for further financial details or require deposits to fake wallets, supposedly for task setup or processing.

Have you been contacted by someone claiming to work for Hybrid Heroes? Here's how you can check whether this person is legitimate:

• Our official website URL is https://hybridheroes.de. Any other website URLs (e.g.⚠️ https://www.hybridheroes.me and https://www.hybridheroes.top ⚠️) are not legit! If you’ve been directed to any suspicious URLs, please report them to us.
• We would never reach out to anyone out- or inside the company via text message / WhatsApp.
• If you receive an e-mail and it doesn't end with @hybridheroes.de, it's not us!
• We do not use poor language in messages
• We would never hire anyone without prior job interviews via Video Call or in person
• We would never ask you to pay fees via a portal or upload sensitive data

If you suspect you’ve been a victim of a scam, act quickly to minimize potential damage:

• Contact Your Bank: Immediately reach out to your bank to report the incident and freeze any affected accounts.
• Report the Scam: Report the scam to relevant authorities.
• Change Passwords: Update passwords for all accounts that might have been compromised. Use different passwords for each account and enable two-factor authentication for added security.
